Sail With Me
thingiverse
I was experimenting with OpenSCAD and this design came out of it. It reminds me of a sailboat that I sailed in for the first time last July. I love how organic creations can be made in OpenSCAD. The design is one piece, but I think I've got it too small for the replicator on low settings to handle... That was an oops, but it turned out to look like two sails, so I'm calling that a win. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: Low Infill: 2% How I Designed This: OpenScad I opened the linear extrude example and started experimenting with different numbers. I changed the rectangle to a circle and then a polygon as I explored the effects of my changes.
