Sail Boat That Floats

Sail Boat That Floats

This boat actually floats, you know? I added slots for dimes to the bottom to give it a boost. But honestly, it's not entirely necessary. When printing, I paused the job mid-print, switched up the settings, and then resumed with three different colors. Since this model isn't designed for multiple color prints, you'll have to eyeball it and adjust as needed. The sail helps propel the boat forward when blown from the side. With a print setting of 1% infill and a layer height of .2 mm, this model should take around two hours to complete. Printer Settings: * Printer Brand: MakerBot * Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator Z18 * Rafts: Yes * Supports: Not necessary * Resolution: Either .2 or .1 mm * Infill Percentage: 1% Overview and Background Lesson Plan and Activity
