GrabCAD
This is a comprehensive 3D design of a hydraulically actuated globe-type deluge valve, developed for fixed fire protection applications in accordance with international standards such as NFPA 15/16 and UL/FM guidelines. The valve features a diaphragm-operated mechanism that controls opening and closing. Upon activation of the solenoid valve, the pressure behind the diaphragm is rapidly vented, allowing the valve to fully open within approximately 1.5 to 5 seconds, depending on system pressure.
The trim line includes a pressure regulator that maintains a constant outlet pressure regardless of inlet fluctuations—ensuring stable and reliable discharge. Additional trim components include a manual emergency release valve, strainer, isolation ball valves, pressure gauge, and a float-actuated auxiliary valve for level-based control. This design is optimized for rapid response, system stability, and ease of maintenance in demanding fire suppression environments such as storage tanks, aircraft hangars, and industrial process areas.
