The Iranian Space Agency's two-stage Safir or "Messenger/Ambassador" Space Launch Vehicle (SLV) is modeled after the Shahab family of missiles/rockets. It successfully launched its first payload, the Omid satellite, into low Earth orbit in February 2009, with a capacity to carry a 50kg (110lb) payload. Future iterations of Safir may evolve into a three-stage SLV for sustainable Earth orbits. Notable features include staging assembly, C-clamps on first and second motors, clamshell nosecone, and an ejector system with C-band clamps. The design originates in TrueSpace 6.6 and is converted to formats like cob, blender, 3ds, obj, dxf, direct x, dae, fbx using Blender 2.66a.
