Safety Topper for Driveway Marker Fiberglass Pole/Stake
prusaprinters
My wife likes to use fiberglass driveway marker poles for marking things in the garden. Unfortunately they are at the perfect height to poke you in the eye if you bend over. This print is for fiberglass stakes which are nominally 5/16 diameter (7.5 - 8mm). No doubt someone else has already made something like this, but after a bit of searching I came up empty, so I made this one. It simply fits over the top of the pole, making it much more visible from the top, and much less likely to cause injury of you do bump into it.To insert the topper onto the pole, I recommend giving it a slight twist as you push down. The topper is designed to accommodate a small range of diameters (I would guess 6 - 9 mm), but of course you can scale it if necessary. Print InstructionsSince this is meant to be used outdoors, PETG is a good idea. I recommend using a bright color such as orange or yellow. Print in PETG using the gcode or 3mf files provided. This is designed to print with the opening downward (top up). I printed on a textured plate.Otherwise :5% rectilinear infillperimeters = 2 CADThe OnShape 3D CAD files for this are here :https://cad.onshape.com/documents/77dd60784dcd2fb834a0ec8d/w/d7909aa5d5b2060ce17a1240/e/5a9d2d5e004d6d6124ea6b2c
