Safety Razor Spacer

Safety Razor Spacer

thingiverse

A 0.2mm-thick spacer is provided for use with old-style safety razors. If you enjoy using a safety razor but find it doesn't provide a close enough shave, try this spacer. It creates a small gap between the razor base and blade, resulting in a more aggressive shave. Printed in red as if to say "Danger!," the spacer requires caution during use and following instructions for safety reasons. This object is ideal for those with coarse hair who want to use a safety razor for shaving. The first picture shows the spacer next to a razor blade, while the second demonstrates assembly order. The third picture is a close-up of the assembled unit, revealing the gap created by the spacer. Note that ABS or PLA can be used for printing, but high quality and careful post-printing filing/sanding are crucial for safety. Cura was used to slice this, and tips include slowing down the printer, elevating temperature, and experimenting with layer heights.
