Safety Razor Holder (Large & Small)
thingiverse
I made the switch to safety razors awhile back because the cost of blades for "new" razors was getting absurdly high. A friend started crafting his own handles out of acrylic and gifted me one, as I was running low on space I needed a place to hang my razor so I created this. There are two versions, one full-size stand that can either lie flat or be attached with suction cups, and a smaller version primarily meant to be attached by suction cups. I designed these specifically for the razors my friend makes but found they fit other handles. I've included the SketchUp files as well in case anyone needs to modify it for their razor. Just FYI the suction cups I used were from the dollar store, they came with a little metal hook that you'll need to remove before you can insert them into the holder. The suction cups seem fairly universal, they're about 1" in diameter and I've seen several brands that are all virtually identical. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Printrbot Simple Metal Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.4mm Infill: 15% or greater Notes: Most of my models are designed with a 0.4mm nozzle in mind and are generally printed at 0.4mm layer height. Post-Printing The little square block included with the Small Holder model is to help stabilize it once you try to attach it to a surface with the suction cups. You'll need to glue it into the recessed area on the backside of the model. The large version doesn't need it because it has 4 suction cups and the weight is distributed better.
