The print demands four eight-to thirty-two by one-and-a-half-inch screws. Ensure these include the necessary nuts as your local hardware store will have them on hand. I conducted testing using screws and nuts sourced from Lowe's, validating their usability. As a parent to a toddler myself, I recognized the urgency in developing this outlet with child-safety in mind. My little one could not resist tampering with outlets in our living room. Consequently, I reviewed numerous outlet covers offered by Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot and several online retailers but found them inadequate in durability to deter my youngster. That is why I designed a better outlet. Upon successfully printing and testing this model, it continues to outsmart my toddler. In stark contrast, pre-fabricated safety outlets merely utilize the middle screw of their cover while relying on tabs for additional structural support – an unstable combination at best. Moreover, most child-safe outlets fall short by using the screws that attach them to a receptacle box, offering inadequate resistance when subjected to significant pull force from children attempting to access internal components. In this context, I opted for added security by including top and bottom screw holes which provide double the anchor points to firmly secure the outlet into its encasing housing. My ingenious design leverages an extra robust build thanks to 3 mounting screws securing the actual outlet within the enclosure. Furthermore, these anchoring elements result in nearly complete imperviousness to toddlers seeking to breach safety measures. The outer shell incorporates four equally-spaced screw mounts for optimal distribution of torque when installing the protective casing on top of and at the base of this safe receptacle assembly, effectively solidifying structural integrity throughout its construction. The outlet itself houses four precisely-sized square ports accommodating one fastener in each opening to further ensure that all points meet snugly when aligned together – thus creating an entirely reinforced protective sheath capable of containing exposed circuitry. For enhanced overall safety against dislodged connections I also deliberately incorporated a specifically-calibrated receiving feature along the underside to receive any cord placed there so no physical pressure will be applied directly on to this childproof outlet securing it from tampering, hence eliminating its inherent risk. This versatile safety model can similarly offer secure containment and safeguard various mentally-challenged persons who suffer from erratic behavior – such as children diagnosed with autism or even elderly individuals experiencing age-related forgetfulness.
