The Rev C MakerBot Safety Cutoff Switch modification ensures functionality without the E-stop cable, adds a snubber diode to the relay coil for power surge reduction, and is only applicable to the Rev C Safety Cutoff Switch. To install D1 and D2, remove the switch, place board in vise, install components as shown in photos, reinstall switch, and perform tests: NORMAL light should be on/off depending on Temp Cutoff lead connection, FAULT light should be on then off after power shut-off or extruder temperature set to 0C. Upon completion, reconnect Temp Cutoff lead and Alert cable for normal operation.
