Safety glasses additions
thingiverse
Ever found yourself struggling to juggle safety glasses, a pencil behind your ear, and a mini maglite while working? To make life in the shop easier, I invented an attachment system that uses magnets to hold both a pencil and a small LED light on your glasses, eliminating the flopping around. The neodymium magnets are 0.33 inches in diameter and offer good strength for this application. Print these objects flat for easy assembly. The flashlight is the trickiest part; it's made from a shell with conduit, a long-lasting LED from a Christmas light set, and powered by LR94 button cell batteries. A ruffled bobby pin serves as the connector, housed in the conduit along with a small switch for easy on/off functionality. Attach these models to your safety glasses from McMaster using two-part epoxy; PLA or ABS filament works well for printing.
