<p>I browsed prusaprinters for some wall art to embellish the empty stair case wall below my flat. The robot attack sounds just right for a last thought when leaving the house.</p><p>To make it a little more difficult to remove, I designed an additional wall mount for earthquake-resistant fit.</p><h3>Design</h3><h4>Changes to the original design</h4><ul><li>number tags will not hang, but slide in; allows three numbers</li><li>three options for wall mounting</li><li>three classic disasters to choose from<ul><li>robot attack</li><li>meteor strike</li><li>laser attack</li></ul></li><li>numbers 0-9 complemented with infinity tag, and minus tag to allow for forecasts</li><li>useful when modifying the attached STEP files to cover for your personal <i>disaster/</i>safety awareness: the font used is from the transport family, available from <a href="https://www.roads.org.uk/fonts">https://www.roads.org.uk/fonts</a> and used under <a href="http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/">Open Government Licence v1.0</a></li></ul><h4>Assembly</h4><p>The number tags are intentionally a smidge too high. After a couple of swaps, they are easy to push in and out, yet still earthquake-resistant.</p><h3>Mounting Options</h3><p>comes with three choices for wall mounting</p><h4>by cord</h4><p>this requires two screws 3mm x 5mm (0.12" x 0.2") and a cord that is knotted into a loop</p><h4>by magnet</h4><p>four recesses allow for up to four magnets ø10mm x 5mm which can be fixed with a drop of glue</p><h4>by wallmount bracket</h4><p>a separate part to print, requires an M3 countersunk screw (&gt;12mm), and an M3 square nut to lock the sign; and of course two screws to attach to a wall. The holes allow screws up to 3.5mm (0.14"). Turn the screw anti-clockwise to lock.</p><h3>Printing</h3><p>I chose ABS, but every other filament should work fine. ABS will warp by a couple of millimetres, but didn't cause trouble in practice.</p><p>Find the attached sample .3mf files to see the colour change height. Printed fine without supports.</p><p>My print is 230 x 180 x 6mm. You may scale that down, but please consider screw/magnet holes getting smaller, and the typography may need a smaller nozzle than 0.40mm to still work.</p>
