Safe Light Switch Plate
thingiverse
I designed this plate for a unique light fixture at my laboratory entrance. Searching for an original button light that met my needs, I couldn't find anything suitable, so I drew this design myself. If you print only the front part to see inside, you can use flash colors for the inner components. I used ABS plastic for all printed parts. To assemble, glue together pieces A, B, and C from the same piece. Unprinted components include: - 9 screws: M2.5 x 8mm - 9 nuts: M2.5 Assembly instructions: - The first steps are often the most challenging. - Assemble the bottom of the front panel into the box. - Install the switch. - Insert the top of the front panel into the box, starting with the switch. - The hardest part is complete. - Securely fasten the base, rail, and gear holder together using screws. - Attach the base to the wall. - Flip down the light button. - Position the action part and gear correctly. - Mount the box on the wall and secure it with the bottom screw. 2018-08-01: Added a guide for the action block and modified the base for easier attachment.
