The knife holder securely houses knives, ensuring their edges are shielded by a wedge-shaped design. Achieved through double routing with a 22.5° bit, this process takes nine passes for precise corner finishing and creating a diamond pattern on the African Padauk wood. Despite being toxic to work with, the outer wood doesn't come into contact with knives. Crafted as a birthday present for my daughter, I later added a Santoku knife to fill the fourth slot post-birthday celebration.
