Safe Bird House
thingiverse
This revised design features several improvements over its predecessor. I eliminated the perch and included a predator guard, which creates a 1.5-inch gap between the entrance and nesting area to deter predators. Additionally, I added air vents on the top front and back as well as four small drains at the bottom, enhancing ventilation and hygiene within the birdhouse. Due to unavailability of 3mm plywood, I adjusted the depth of all finger joints to accommodate 5mm plywood, which also works with common shipping box cardboard for an affordable alternative. Some joints were enlarged to facilitate cutting with a CNC machine or laser cutter, similar to the one used in the pictured birdhouse that remains unglued.
