Saeco Incanto HD Lid Hinge repair/upgrade

After my Saeco Incanto HD fully automatic coffee maker's lid hinges gave out (a notorious problem plaguing many Saeco Philips owners), I attempted a DIY fix by gluing and repairing them, but that effort ended in failure. Now, I'm venturing into 3D printing to design two custom parts that need to be attached to the original hinge as seen in the accompanying images. How to: 1. Sabotage your stock hinges with reckless abandon. 2. Carefully remove any broken fragments from the underside of the lid, as depicted in the photograph. 3. Print out two copies of the required items, one of which should be a mirrored version. 4. Thoroughly clean the designated areas using alcohol to ensure a spotless surface. 5. Apply super glue or CA adhesive to securely attach both printed components to the lid, and savor the joy of freshly brewed coffee once more.
