Why is Sad Face looking so down? An eBay seller has stolen multiple (2K+) models from Thingiverse and is selling prints of the models for profit, using the original photographs to advertise them. You can find this eBay user at http://www.ebay.com/usr/just3dprint?euid=d24089406c0a43cb82bef714707a11ca&cp=1&exe=12792&... They also stole my model Aria the Dragon (designed for Dual extrusion) from Thingiverse. You can see it at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:767823 Here's the eBay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261964153371?euid=5be5a7af4ed34949ec87a18cad7c671875&cp=1 I politely asked them to take it down, but they responded with this: "When you uploaded your models onto Thingiverse for mass distribution, you lost all rights to them. They entered the public domain. The only exception is original works of art." No court has ruled CAD models as original works or art yet, so they have no right to exclude others from using my models. Even if that changes in the future, they're not selling my CAD files - they're just 3D printing objects based on them. SFE P.S. When you created these CAD files, did you really want to limit the amount of people who could enjoy them? Now everyone can buy the items from this seller and support American jobs. I've created Sad Face to highlight this problem so other makers can check if their work has been stolen.
