Sacrum with Connecting Ball Joint - Remesh
thingiverse
Remix of a remix. Remix squared, if you will. This is a direct remix of bobojean's remix of DavidMakesStuff's anatomically correct spine and sacrum.Bobojean took DavidMakesStuff's articulating spine L-5 model and added a ball joint. They then took their magnetic sacrum and added the socket joint. This issue I had was that I did not really like the side faces of the sacrum (which are meant of magnets). Therefore, I took bobojean's updated sacrum model with the socket and did my best to remove the side faces (and hole under for mounting) and re-mesh the model. What we have here is a more anatomically correct sacrum that attaches directly to the updated L-5 model, which all attaches to the original anatomically correct articulating spine model. For minimum support, I think it is best to the print the sacrum with the socket sitting directly on the build build plate. This gives a vertical structure that easily prints with relatively minimal tree support. The bottom of the model will have a lot of scarring potentially, but this is generally not seen due to facing toward the other vertebrate.
