This is a perfect use case for the Sabrent SSD to USB adapter. Three versions are available, and all should fit without issue. I personally tested the Type-C version with great success. Any standard SSD with a maximum height of 7.7mm (0.303 inches) should work seamlessly. If the lid doesn't fit snugly, a simple solution is to trim off a small portion from the corners of the case. This will ensure a secure fit. In cases where the SSD feels too loose within its housing, try placing a folded piece of paper inside the case once or twice to provide additional support and stability.
