Sabre d’abordage
sketchfab
Developed in 1865 at the Châtellerault factory (1819-1968), this steel sword features a darkened iron hilt, known as "spoon fork," and a blade engraved with an anchor. \nFollowing the invasion of border territories under the Revolution and Empire, armament factories were relocated to central France. The site at Châtellerault was chosen because the Vienne offered motive force and a fluvial communication network, and the cutlery industry present on the territory ensured skilled labor for blade work. \nInv. # : 2013.1.5 from the collections of the Fouras Museum (17 - France).\n3D digitization: Spider scanner - Artec3D
