Sabot flash (Cold shoe for flash)
thingiverse
New version of my cold shoe for flashes. As I use quite exclusively off-camera flashes with Nikon system of piloting, I need to fix these to foot photo. In a former version, I had printed directly the threading inside of the shoe. But due to using the threading gets damaged. That is why I made this version with a prisoner nut with the step "photo" (nut 1/4 inch 20; nets by inch). I found it in France at Harley Davidson. Print Settings Printer: Vertex K4800 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.15 mm Infill: 50% Notes: For a better adjustment of the slide channel, I printed the shoe in 2 parts, more the third one to block the nut. After a little sanding before collage with cyanoacrylate and the result is perfect. Post-Printing How I Designed This I used Freecad to design this object.
