Saber Crystal
thingiverse
This crystal serves as a prop light saber component. It's basic in design, with two distinct models available - one without supports and the other featuring them. The ideal material choice is clear resin infused with an extremely small amount of dye to achieve a transparent hue. Adding approximately 0.2 grams of glow pigment per 100ml of resin will give it a subtle glowing effect after exposure to light. To prevent premature curing, applying a UV protective coating is highly recommended. Following post-cure cleanup, sanding can be used to polish the piece (up to 4000 wet sanding should suffice) for a glass-like finish. However, polishing with a rotary tool and rouge bar is not advised due to potential temperature-related issues.
