----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Assembly: Without inventing hot water, upper cover is almost same like in Vetus assembly. Don't see anything bad there. Part serves the purpose. Have entrance area of 35.3 cm^2 and channels for water exit. Fixing is with 5 screws. Can hold person if steps on it. Part below Cover is named Shell and it's purpose is to prevent water and to allow air to enter into cabin. Shell is fixed with 4 screws. Between Shell and cabin wall is silicone about 0.5 mm thick. Shell have air entrance area of 30.9 cm^2. Shell have blind hole which purpose is to hold upper side of Shaft. Bottom side of Shaft is fixed into Handle. On Shaft is fixed Halfdisc. While rotating Handle, Halfdisc closing/opening hole in Shell and adjusting airflow. Between Halfdisc and Shell is Gasket. Gasket purpose is to hold actual airflow and when it is closed to prevent air to enter into cabin. From inside of cabin Hande and Flange are visible. On flange is text Open/Close with lines. When Flange is fixed with 4 screws Handle is trapped between Flange and cabin wall. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Materials: All parts are made of Stainless steel 1.4571 except Gasket which is made of EPDM rubber. Handle and Flange are made of white PC+ABS plastic. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manufacturing: Handle and Flange are made with inject molding process. Stainless steel parts are made with cutting, bending and deep drawing sheet-metal processes. Shaft can be done on lathes. Not expensive to produce any part. Parts are simple and quantity of parts in assembly is small. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- User friendly mechanism: Customer can easily rotate Handle and in half turn (one move) to completely close or open vent.
