The Saab SF-340 was a collaborative effort between SAAB and Fairchild Aircraft, resulting in a Swedish twin-engine turboprop aircraft. However, when Fairchild ceased production in 1985 after producing approximately 40 units, SAAB continued under the designation Saab 340A. Despite initial success, sales declined by the late '90s, leading to its cancellation in 1998.
