Here is a custom cup holder design specifically tailored for the classic SAAB 900. The clip-on mechanism securely attaches to the ashtray and accommodates most standard diameter drink containers. This design should be compatible with any C900 model produced between 1978 and 1993. I've had firsthand experience with this cup holder, using it personally for over a year on my own 1990 SPG. In my opinion, it's been the most valuable modification I've ever made to my vehicle. For printing, I used PLA filament with mostly stock settings at 100% infill. The design should be printable without support, provided you orient the model flat on the bed. However, if the cup holder appears slightly loose on the ashtray after assembly, simply press the ashtray closed firmly and this should eliminate any slack. Feel free to modify or remix this design to suit your specific needs – perhaps a version for larger or smaller drink containers, or even a 2-cup capacity!
