S800 Electronics Plate
thingiverse
I'm working to mount my flight controller and other components into my S800. Figuring out what will actually work has been a challenge, but at least I've made some progress. I flew this setup before and it seemed to be functional. There is still plenty of work to do on the plane itself, but for now, my electronics are covered. How It Was Designed My initial approach was to use Fusion360, but once I added the honeycomb design, performance plummeted. The program became unbearably slow, making it nearly impossible to work with. This gave me a chance to improve my skills in openscad, which has proven to be more efficient and easier to handle. The source code is available on github (and included here), allowing anyone who wants to experiment with the design to do so freely.
