S500 Quadcopter Gimbal Mount

I needed a sturdy rail mount for my GLB 3 Axis Gimbal, which demanded precise engineering. The rail centers were set at 60mm, while the hole centers on the gimbal required a specific alignment of 25mm. To meet these exacting standards, I designed and printed two rail mounts in ABS with a 60% infill ratio. Although they fit together nicely, some minor adjustments, or "fettling," were necessary to secure them properly onto the rails. To ensure a rock-solid connection, I carefully inserted a press-fit brass M3 thread insert into the top of each mount and used M3 x 12mm screws to firmly attach the gimbal plate in place.
