S500 - Low Profile Battery Mount

S500 - Low Profile Battery Mount

I love the S500 frame for its carbon-fiber reinforced arms, but I'm not a fan of the flimsy battery mount. It often pops off on impact and can be tough to reinstall. Furthermore, the excessive lowering reduces my acrobatic flying capabilities. While a lower center of gravity makes for more stable flight, it also makes flips much harder to pull off. And if I want to carry a spare battery mount for field replacements, its bulky shape takes up too much space in my bag. I've come up with a low-profile design that easily snaps on and will pop off safely during crashes, allowing the battery to impact separately while protecting the frame parts. Since you're here, do you also own an S500 frame?
