UPDATE- I tweaked the mounting tabs on both standard and extended hoppers, ensuring they fit snugly in place. This adaptable hopper empowers users to discharge any granular material from a drone with precision. Specifically designed for the DJI S1000, this versatile device can be utilized for various applications such as fire ant poison or fertilizer distribution. To operate the auger, a continuous rotation servo is required. In my setup, I employed a HItec HS-645MG metal gear servo, which was modified to accommodate continuous rotation. For those who wish to replicate this process, I recommend following the straightforward tutorial available at http://www.instructables.com/id/Converting-Micro-Servos-for-Continuous-Rotation/. The servo horn needs to be trimmed to perfectly align with the auger dogs. Visual references can be found in the accompanying images. For precise and repeatable dispensing, I opted for an Arduino nano. Alternatively, users can simply connect the servo directly to their receiver for manual operation.
