S&W MP15-22 Magazine Baseplate Retainer
thingiverse
The baseplate of the MP15-22 rifle clips, just kidding magazines, relies on a small plastic component for retention. This component operates under spring tension as the base plate slides away, causing it to become dislodged and potentially fly off. I'm aware that this part can easily be replaced, which is why I created my own versions since it's such a minor component. In fact, I designed them so that the spring end threads through, thereby preventing the part from becoming airborne. Two variations have been included: one featuring the standalone part and another divided in half for printing on a flatbed printer with subsequent gluing together. The two-part configuration is the only design I've actually printed out.
