S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier - Quadrotor Model
thingiverse
There are several impressive Helicarrier quadrotors out there, but none as compact or precise as this one I believe. Although it was designed with the Hubsan X4 in mind, this model is significantly larger, measuring 300mm/11.8" in length and weighing approximately 150 grams for just the frame. I think it will fly well with stock motors, but you may need to upgrade them with something like these or these. I'll be honest - I'm not skilled in electronics and wasted $60 after destroying two separate Hubsan X4 control boards trying to modify them for this project, so I don't know if it'll actually work. I wish the best of luck on whoever tries. For a non-flying, more accurate version of the Helicarrier, check here. This model's hull is slightly "slimmed down," and the "turbines" are obviously more open to allow for real rotors. Printing some parts vertically instead of horizontally shaves off as much as half a gram or more depending on the part, but feel free to orient them in a way that works best for you. Make sure you print everything only one shell thick if you have the option.
