S-DMB CORPA DBF Phased Array ESA Satellite Communications (SATCOM) 2.64 GHz (S-Band) Antenna

This is a 2.64 GHz S-Band model I designed after pouring over numerous white papers on the Satellite Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (S-DMB) Cost Optimized Active Receive Phased Array (CORPA) Digital Beam Forming (DBF) Antenna launched by the European Space Agency (ESA) in 2007. One of those papers was titled "Cost-Optimised Active Receive Array Antenna for Mobile Satellite Terminals" by Oliver Lücke, Alberto Pellon, Pau Closas, and Juan A Fernandez-Rubio. Building this model took some time as the angles for each piece got quite complex. I created three conical tiers of circular arrays - the first tier features 18 active antennas, the second tier has 14 active antennas, and the inner cone (tier 3) boasts 8 active antennas. The total count of external and internal active antennas stands at 40, making this phased array unique in its geometric shape for beam forming purposes.
