S-Class Sauber
thingiverse
This is a 1:24 scale model of a Mercedes-Benz W126 sedan with the nose and tail of a Sauber Mercedes C9 expertly grafted on. The build was sparked by a tweet from renowned Weird Cars author Michael Banovsky, showcasing breathtaking miniature automotive masterpieces: https://twitter.com/banovsky/status/949725966049431552 These diminutive images are shrouded in mystery, originating approximately a decade ago in obscure forums where they were posted anonymously, leaving some to wonder if they represent an actual vehicle or a work of digital artistry. Although it's unclear whether these images depict a genuine car or have been skillfully Photoshopped, they seem to have inspired the design of this Mercedes-Benz print ad: https://twitter.com/AdamNeverKnows/status/950117852085878784 The "real" model has somewhat unflattering proportions, so I deliberately stayed closer to the car's dimensions as seen in the print ad.
