A Comprehensive, Lightweight Model of the UH-60 Black Hawk - Commissioned by the Australian Army. Textures: High-definition textures are included, showcasing detailed diffuse and bump maps. The maximum resolution for these textures is 2048 pixels. History: The S-70 family was developed in response to a US Army request to replace the aging UH-1 Iroquois helicopter fleet in 1972. Three prototypes were built, with the first (YUH-60A) taking flight in October 1974 and competing against a Vertol design, known as the YUH-61. The S-70 was chosen for mass production and entered service as the UH-60A Black Hawk with the US Army in 1979. In the late 1980s, the model underwent an upgrade to the UH-60L (first production aircraft 89-29179), which featured increased power and lift thanks to the GE engine's -701C model upgrade.
