The wooden church in Rastolțu Desert was built during the first years of the 19th century, with the foot of the altar table bearing the year 1809. An inscription placed above the deacons' and imperial doors retains the year 1810 as the year of construction: "Ornamented this holy church in the days of the elevated Emperor Ferdinand, Bishop in Transylvania: M.D. Ioan Lemeni, V. Protopop: Simion Marincaș, priest Vasilie Vlaicu ... The people of the Holy Union have granted it. Chantor … Petre, Custodian Vlaicu Kostan 1846, November 1st: 1810 or founded from wood".
