The bar of this machine is made of delicate plastic wrapped in a layer of rubber. It tends to snap at its thinner points. Repairing it can be quite time-consuming: First, cut the rubber right down the middle, between the two screws that hold it in place. Next, carefully extract the original hard plastics by turning over what looks like a sock. Then, print out two new components - made from PLA with 30% fill and two to three outer layers of material - and insert them into the rubber. Once those are securely in place, screw them together tightly. After that, use a leather needle to sew the rubber back together again. Finally, attach the repaired bar to the machine itself using longer screws because you've enlarged the part that was previously too thin and prone to cracking.
