This reducer or enlarger makes bad smells associated with an unfilled siphon a thing of the past. I designed it to be placed at the outlet of the hose on my 25mm washing machine and then connected to the PVC drain in 40mm. The force needed is sufficient to push it in, but you can glue the part if desired, directly onto the end of the exhaust pipe. I added wood glue where the machine tube connects, spreading it with my finger to prevent any leakage from occurring.
