My Rip Fence on my Ryobi RTS30 suddenly failed. Upon examining the problem, I noticed the white plastic Slider Blocks had nearly exploded (half of the pieces were missing - no idea where those shards went). To diagnose the issue, I looked up the Part #: 089037009045. Apparently, my saw is old enough that these pieces are discontinued from all online sources. So I decided to create a replacement myself. Please note this is my first 3D build. I built the OEM version according to the specs of the broken parts (as shown in the photo). So measurements were within 0.01mm for most dimensions. After creating the OEM, I studied the part itself and tried to identify where the stress breaks were and how to strengthen the weak points. This led me to create a modified version. I test fitted it and it slid smoothly into the channel and fit really snug when clamped. I printed mine with PLA, I'm sure ABS would hold up better, but that's what I print. I only ask that you do not sell these as I made them for the benefit of the community and owners of the saw.
