Ryobi P2108 Leaf Blower Fan
thingiverse
This is a replacement fan for the Ryobi P2108 18V leaf blower that can be installed with ease. The newer model (P2180) has undergone a design change, making it simpler to remove the original nut housing and reuse it. However, in this older version, you will need to cut the fan blade to access the original nut housing if you want to reuse it. There are four files attached: 1 - Blower fan using the original nut 2 - Blower fan using M5 nuts for those who cannot remove the original nut 3 - Blower fan using the original nut with an additional outer support ring, ideal for PLA prints 4 - Blower fan using M5 nuts with an additional outer support ring, perfect for PLA prints Several photos have been included, featuring a photo of the original nut and a shattered fan blade that breaks easily if debris enters the shroud. The first picture shows the original-nut part with a full conical end, while the second picture displays the M5 nut version with a truncated conical end to accommodate an additional nut on the drive shaft. The M5 nut versions are less than ideal due to their smaller metal-to-metal contact surface (approximately 4mm compared to the original 28mm). While they work, it is uncertain how long they will last as a permanent solution. A possible alternative is using a 15mm M5 female-female Coupling Nut and grinding its edges to match the original shape. It's crucial not to lose the inner bushing that sits between the fan and the motor body. Without this bushing, the fan may spin onto the shaft too tightly, causing the motor to bind.
