Simple adjustable power supply using the 18v One+ battery pack system. Using the listed power supply you can supply zero to 18v through the banana plugs. What you'll need is: 1) This printed shell 2) An adjustable power supply module The module I used is no longer available on Amazon but this one should work:https://www.amazon.com/UCTRONICS-Numerical-Stabilized-Converter-Adjustable/dp/B01LWXAC5E 3) Banana plugs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PJY71MR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 4) Tabbing wire or Battery Lead Wire: https://www.amazon.com/Meters-Tinned-Copper-Tabbing-Soldering/dp/B06XKRPQSF or https://www.amazon.com/0-15x6x50mm-Soldering-Capacity-Lithium-Battery/dp/B07PQP55CM 5) Hookup wire and m3 screws To build you will need to band the tabbing wire into a loop and drill a small hole in one end. The tabbing wire will be held in place using the m3 screws fastened into two small holes at the base of the shell. The tab will loop into the battery stem compartment and make contact with the battery leads. You can either solder or use screw fasteners to attach wire to the tabs and then connect the wire to the power supply. Most (perhaps all) of the Ryobi batteries indicate the polarity of the leads so just wire like poles together. Similarly the power supply outputs will attach to the matching banana plugs. It is almost definitely easier to use fasteners to attach those wires however there's nothing to prevent you from soldering them. The power supply unit should snap into the open rectangle in the shell and the banana plugs screw into the shell. If all went well when you snap the shell onto a battery the tabs will contact the leads and power the power supply. Since it's a step down power supply you should be able to get up to 18v (or whatever your battery is charged to) from the banana plugs.
