This cap covers the terminals of a Ryobi One+ battery, preventing accidental shorts when stored with metal tools in a tool bag. I designed these caps after discovering that storing batteries with metal objects posed a significant risk of shorting the battery. To address this issue, I created covers that fit snugly over the terminals. The first design was quite tight, but I soon realized it needed improvement. I redesigned the cover to incorporate ribs that make contact along four lines rather than across the entire interior surface. This modification significantly enhanced the overall fit and functionality of the cap. For added flexibility, a slotted version is also available. This design allows for some give when fitting over the terminals, making it easier to place and secure. Print Settings: * Printer: CobbleBot * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.3mm * Infill: 15% Design Process: I designed this cap using Autodesk's 123D Design software. The initial shape was a simple box, which I then modified by filleting the edges and using the "shell" command to hollow it out. To create the ribs, I employed two plain rectangles. Another rectangle was used to subtract the slot from the design.
