Ryobi Delta Detail Sander Head Replacement
thingiverse
Instead of purchasing a new head for my broken detail sander, I opted to print a replacement in just three hours using my personal 3D printer. The original part was temporarily fixed with superglue to obtain accurate measurements for reverse engineering. To enhance durability, I designed a cavity for an M8x30 socket head bolt, which was later epoxied into the stem for added rigidity. After reassembling the sander, I transferred the felt sanding pad onto the new head and secured it using double-sided tape. This experience highlights the benefits of having a personal fabrication tool at one's disposal.
