A battery adapter allows users to utilize Ryobi One batteries with Sears Craftsman 19.2v tools. I own a substantial set of Craftsman 19.2v cordless tools from several years ago. The original batteries, NiCd, have failed, but the equipment operates well. Meanwhile, I've switched to the HomeDepot/Ryobi 18v system because I appreciate some of their unique tools. I don't want to purchase new Craftsman batteries and a Li charger and maintain an entire separate system. This adapter enables me to use the Craftsman tools with Ryobi batteries. Starting with Simhopp's Ryobi battery receiver model, I created a shell that converts the Ryobi battery shape into the Craftsman battery shape. I merged these two parts together. The Craftsman side accepts the top connecting piece from one of my dead Craftsman NiCd batteries. If I stack it all together, I get a Ryobi battery connected to a Craftsman tool. You need to retrieve the following components from an old Craftsman battery: * The battery top * The electrical contact assembly * The release buttons * The button springs * The 5 assembly screws For the electrical contacts, use Ryobi Contact Plate holder 300001044 or Makita 643918-8. With the adapter, the Craftsman tools operate at 18v nominal, not 19.2v. So far in testing, everything functions fine and it has no noticeable impact on performance. Ryobi_Base_Fixed_Final.stl This is a reworked version of the part I mixed from. I modified it in several ways (the electrical contact position and enlarging one of the cutouts on the bottom) so it worked/fit better.
