I got a bunch of Ryobi tools with no batteries, and to be honest, I never thought battery-powered tools were worth the investment, as they always seemed to lose their charge before they stopped working altogether. So, I took the Ryobi Li-Ion Battery Pack by SoundDoc and hacked it down to size, stripping out unnecessary parts, shortening the platform, and drilling holes for my custom power receptacles. SoundDoc did a great job on that battery design - no way was I going to start from scratch without an actual model to work with. Big thanks for making it available! It's working just fine for now, powered by my bench supply at 12v, but I'll be keeping an eye out for a more powerful 18v source in the future. Printed on PLA using the fastest settings possible, all necessary supports were included due to the intricate designs involved. Once printed, they cleaned up easily and snapped together tightly without any issues. The springs and contact pads came from an old car power plug I salvaged from a radar detector. Remember, electricity can be treacherous, so proceed with caution - safety first!
