Ryobi 40v Dual Battery Adapter

<p>This battery adapter can be used to increase the power and improve the heat distribution with Ryobi batteries used in their 40v chainsaws.&nbsp;</p><p>The biggest problem with their batteries is overheating when cutting larger logs. This adapter will distribute that heat to two batteries. It will also allow the chainsaw to last up to 2x as long.</p><p>Difficulty: hard</p><p>The hardest part of this print is wiring the battery connectors to the triangular posts. For this initial version, I wrapped a long braided wire over the post and squeezed it into plastic with a hot soldering iron. This melts and embeds the wire into the plastic slightly. I then soldered the wire to make it solid to increase connectivity and prevent it from coming out. The wires are then connected in parallel, being careful to keep an eye on the battery terminal polarity to make sure positives are connected together and negatives are also together.</p><p>Do not connect positive to negative! You will burn up a battery and potentially cause a fire!</p><p>Glue all of the pieces together with copious amounts of crazy/super glue.
