Version 2 of my replacement gear for the Ryman XC600CM Shredder is now available. The previous model worked well with single sheets of paper but struggled under heavier loads, causing the two gears to separate due to excessive force. To assemble Version 2, you'll need to print both the spacer and the gear components. Next, insert the original smaller metal gear into the printed gear, taking care to align them properly. Some minor adjustments, or fettling, may be necessary to ensure a secure fit. The original smaller metal gear was successfully removed from the larger nylon gear using a gas hob.
