RX5808 Module Test Rig

RX5808 Module Test Rig

thingiverse

This little model is a rig for testing RX5808 VRX modules, as used in RotorHazard and Delta5 race timers, as well as RX5808 diversity receivers. The rig holds little pogo pins in a line, which can provide a solderless connection between an RX5808 module and an MCU (eg Arduino/STM32/EPS32) for testing. Pogo pings were purchased from: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07FQF2BRC A sample sketch is included, which writes to the RX5808 frequency register and reads back the result to verify, as well as showing 5 x sampled RSSI readings. Because the pins are so small, I used a first layer height of 0.1mm and a layer height of 0.1mm. Print the model with the holes going vertically (the holes will get squashed printing them horizontally) The idea can be reworked for other components and circuit boards, which can be useful for example to test components without soldering them (and voiding a warranty).
