RX5808 Case for Fatshark Dominators
thingiverse
For those of us on a tight budget who can't afford to splurge on a set of La Forge modules for our Fatshark goggles. This DIY project is designed to replicate the RX5808 module, which can be found at http://goo.gl/YYf0zG. I printed mine in ABS using the following settings and applied acetone vapor smoothing to achieve a smooth surface. Infill: 100% Layer height: 0.3mm Support: Yes When attaching the OLED display, be mindful of its orientation as I inadvertently attached mine on the side, resulting in control placement to the right when viewed from the front. The inner and outer components can be secured together using screws, although I had to resort to hot glue due to difficulties with screw installation. To ensure secure yet removable attachment to the goggles, I utilized double-sided foam. For optimal performance, I recommend pairing this DIY module with an Immersion RHCP Mini patch (available at http://goo.gl/z8itnO) and an Omni Directional RHCP Antenna like the Aomway antenna (http://goo.gl/Zfopeb).
