Pitot tube adapter created specifically for use with DIYdrones, Rangevideo, and Eagletree pitot tubes among others. It consists of two separate components that are attached together via adhesive bonding. The design includes some additional clearances to accommodate pitot tubes of varying diameters and potentially differing amounts of adhesive residue. To securely install this holder in an EPO foam material, utilize a 10mm drill bit to create a slightly elongated hole, then secure the pitot tube in place using adhesive. Achieving optimal performance depends on precise positioning, where the pitot tube should be situated within a free air stream and outside of the boundary layer influenced by the airframe itself. An early version can be observed below, which has since been refined to enhance overall effectiveness; its versatility allows for use across a wide range of foam models with ease, originally intended for RVJET yet applicable to most designs.
