RV Trailer backup target

RV Trailer backup target

These parts and a 3/8" metal rod create a convenient target for backing up to hitch up an RV. It eliminates the need to have someone guide you or get in and out a number of times, making it a cost-effective alternative to a backup camera. The blocks can be attached to the front of an RV and will hold a rod with a visible target that touches the vehicle when the hitch ball is under the trailer. The rod is designed to touch a specific spot on the car and slides in and out easily, only being in place during hook up. I used a 4' aluminum rod and attached the blocks to the plastic propane tank cover. The target touches the lettering on the cap window when I am in the right position. Four 1/4" x 20" carriage bolts with washers and nuts are required for assembly.
