After my wife inadvertently set off the hydraulic motor in our motor home by blocking the slide switch with a box, I realized that a guard was absolutely necessary to prevent accidental activation of these switches. They remain powered even when the ignition key is turned off, which presents a significant risk of accidental movement. To address this issue, I created a custom guard for the rear bedroom slide and another for the front living room slide, both of which were installed on the dash. These guards have successfully eliminated the possibility of accidentally pressing the switches and moving the slides. If you want to adapt these guards to fit your specific slide switch, it's relatively simple - just resize them as needed. These guards are specifically designed for a 2002 Winnebago Journey, but with some minor modifications, they can be adapted to suit other models.
